Q From the Chapter 14 reading assignment, describe the three demographic variables the impact population growth. How do urbanization and the development of cities impact population growth trajectories?
The three demographic variables that impact the population growth involve mortality, fertility and migration. It can be said that fertility is more dependent on the overall ratio of the number of people who are fertile and are able to reproduce. As more and more people are fertile there will be more chances of people to reproduce. Mortality can be considered as the second variable which refers to the death toll. It involves more crime and illnesses and there will be more decline in the population in numbers.
